Treble bypass
Hi all. I had been disappointed with my volume rolloff on both of my pups, anything below 9 and the sound got really dark. I bought a pair of volume kits from acmeguitarworks (Acme Guitar Works - Guitar Parts, Pickups, Electronics, and Prewired Assemblies) for humbuckers and put them on.
Guess what? They work, my rolloff feels a lot more like my tone rolloff: nice and easy until you get to about 2-3, then it drops off a cliff. My tone stays intact as I roll down. However, now I've noticed (it's subjective) that when I'm playing with any distortion I feel like I've lost a lot of definition in my crunch, and I feel like it's too trebley, and adjusting the volume and tone doesn't fix it. Has anyone had a similar experience? Do you think different values on the capacitor and resistor might fix the problem? |
