VST plugins (recording)

Anyone know any good VOCAL vst plugins? I'm kinda looking to get a Ozzy ish sound I something like light distortion with chorus and reverb - I've tried some stuff but nothing that is subtle (I don't like to hear vocal effects) I just want something to make the vocals more leady and rock ish.

Any suggestions; something like a good chorus or reverb would help - the one I'm using sound bad.

Dunno if I will in turn actally use any effects (cos I don't like to) but I'd like to see how they are.

MVL.

Great FREE vocal plugin chain

Free VST Plugs

Free VST plug-in for vocals - EasyVox 1.3

A quick search on Google found these and many more... whether they work good or not, I can't say. I use Waves.

Cool cheers, thou I've mostly decided to go without vocals effects (mostly my bad mixing is to blame) cos every effect I shove onto vocals juz seems to make em sound worse.

Yep, sounds like a mixing issue...

Re: VST plugins (recording)

try to get it to sound right at the recording stage (excluding the effects) then you can bulid from there....what mic are you using....also the room plays an huge role in vox...also take your voice into consideration and try to get the most out of that...

also feel free to ask such a great question in the social group...the recording group...

what DAW are you using?
