I got a slash afd les paul build in the works and im slowly acquiring parts as i get some spare cash. If theres anyone out there who owns one could you check the specs on the tone caps? i know they're orange drops .022uf but theres different V (volts i think?). It says somewhere on the side what the V's are. Slash said this contributed to the sound so i want to get it right :)

    Thanks much

Now I don't know if this is right, but I "thought" I read somewhere that Slash used stuff from RS Guitarworks.

    A modern LP harness maybe?

Again, unsure and yes, you certainly are hardcore :slash:

How about, Instead of spending all your time, money and effort on replicating someones tone, how about you spend all that time money and effort on developing a unique tone of your own.

I never once, told him what to do, thank you very much.
I simply gave an opinion. An opinion is not a fact or a demand, it's simply what I believe, You have your own opinions and he has his. Quite frankly I don't care if he choosed to re-create The Frankenstein, that's his choice, and I'm not telling him either way.

You clearly said How about you do "insert what you said". If that isn't telling someone what to do, I don't know what is.

Probably because ive already bought and built guitars to develop my own tone? And because i love the sound of the appetite les paul which i would like to use for playing songs by my favourite band/guitarist. And im going to spend my time and effort on it because thats what i want to do.

How is 'how about' telling someone what to do, I mean, seriously? How about is more or less a suggestion. Not an order. I never 'demanded', insisted, or told him what to do.' I suggested.

Well, if you had included that you had worked on guitars before at the top of the thread, then I wouldn't have made the suggestion would I? You know how many 12-13 y/o's come on this site, NEEDING THE SLASH TONE!!!
