    You can only have a Peavey Classic 30, or a Laney LC30 . . .

. . . to play pretty much every genre from kleen stuff to, 70's classic rock, right up to 90's Hard Rock/Grunge !

What would you prefer to own ?

Has to be Laney. Their base isn,t far from here, plus they sound awesome.

    I personally owned a Peavey Classic 50 and a Laney LC50.

Peavey is better built hands down. The Laney sounded sexier, but like my VC30, will start to fall apart through time (still sounded sexy though).

Maybe get the Peavey classic 30. Just change the dry sounding Blue Marvel speaker with something else (I recommend Celestion Vintage 30)

Gotta go with the Peavey. Been playing them since 1983.

Laney for me in general. Best amps for the money these days.
I don't know the peavey well enough to compare those models though.

I don't know about Laney amps but I've had a Peavey Classic 30 and 112 cabinet for almost 5 years. I just retubed it last month and it sounds great. It's also totally silent.

Until the last 4 or 5 months my Classic 30 was my primary amp that I used it almost daily for about 3 years. I've always been able to coax fenderish and marshallish tones out of it. It loves pedals, I've a Lovepedal Les Lius, a tube screamer and a king of tone with great effect. It also responds really well with my pod.

Even thought it's not my go to amp any more I am not getting rid of it like I did with my other non vintage Fender amps.

    Just my $0.02.

Laney all the way. Laney amps are way underrated IMO.

    Really had to ask?

    Peavey, of course!
Might use that other thing for a footstool though. ;)
