Sounds awesome but is it a timmy clone? That's the rumor that is floating around. It has a tweaked sound but the schematic is the same. For 99$ it's pretty awesome regardless!

It's not a mere rumor. See also Cool Cat Transparent Overdrive Mk I.

I've ordered one. It sounds nothing like a Tim/Timmy - regardless of the circuit/schematic. This sounds juicy yet transparent and lots of thickness. It must be heavily tweaked. The Andy demo was great.

Yep... Andy uses Blackface amps like I do and Tim sounds NOTHING like that. It has no thickness. Very brittle, harsh, and bright.

To me this is a very thick yet transparent OD.

    Man, I sure hope not!

The clips sound nothing like a Timmy. 4 knobs does not a Timmy make!

(I really can't understand why so many folks dig the Timmy. I had it twice and could never get on with it.)

Here's an interesting post from TGP. I have no way to verify this.

I've thought of popping an LM1458 or OP072 in my Timmy just for the heck of it. Reports of results with the 4558 didn't sound as interesting, but op-amps are cheap.

After my paycheck clears i may buy this. Really interested how it will sound with my Ac30 clean and when already overdriven. Besides my fulltone i need one more ( lol ) OD that gives great low end sound without making it sound muddy/closed.

There's just no way to say "just one more OD" with a straight face, is there? :D

Odd ... I tried dozens of ODs (for sure, not all of them by any stretch) and got a Timmy and love it! But I built my own amp and fussed over every part and tried this and that with my guitar until it was just right - and I was looking for a pedal that didn't hide any of my set-up's sound details (not that anyone else would ever care about any of those details, or even like them if they did notice) and the Timmy was perfect. And it's killer with my old Twin, too ... plus, I love the way the tone controls work - the direction and the sweep. Very, very nice for me.

But that "colourlessness" is probably the very quality that makes them seem lacking to those who want some colour from their OD. Amazing, all the choices. Would sure like to try the Wampler Euphoria someday ...

I have both and say not a chance. The Timmy has three clipping modes. The Amp 11 has 1. The Timmy has bass and treble CUT knobs. The Amp 11-taper bass & treble.

Ther are NOT the same and the Cool Cat...Same thing. Wrong EQ setup and the sound is different. Want a timmy-get a Timmy. They are $135.00. C'mon.

I own the previous edition of the Lovepedal OD 11. Transparent indeed and great when you crank it. I do not know anything about the other pedal you mentioned.
