Putting my beloved 1972 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe up for sale. Amazing, amazing guitar! All original with the exception of the mini-humbucker pickups and two knobs. Minis were swapped out for P90s (Get your Mike Ness on). The bridge is a Lollar normal wind and the neck I am not sure of. They both sound incredible and completely brought this guitar to life. The original pickups are long gone, and honestly the P90s sound much, much better. The knobs currently on the guitar are repros, however I have two original knobs and two older bell knobs. The frets have some life left and it plays fine now, but they will more than likely need to be replaced at some point. Pots date to 72'. Serial 688815, Made in the USA stamped on back of headstock. No cracks, breaks, or repairs whatsoever, just some honest wear. Good weight of around 9 lbs. Comes with a modern Gibson case which is a bit worn from the road. I love this guitar, but honestly don't use it as much as my others. Asking $2,200 or trade for a vintage 54-59 Les Paul Junior with issues (I can add cash if needed). Headstock repair, refin, etc. As long as the electronics are original and it plays I will more than likely be into it. Or possibly a new historic Junior + cash.
