Re: Best Practice Amp
Is it going to be used primnarily as a just you amp? or you plus drums , bass etc.....if its just you 50 watts is way overkill, and personally I'm not a fan of marshalls solid state amps period, there are much better offerings in terms of price, features, and overall sound, flick made a grweat suggestion with the micro cube, vox also has some excellent small moddeling amps, I prefer the vox as you have greater control over the effects. I have a marshall JTM-60 as my main amp, and a vox DA-15 as a practice/noodling around the house amp.

Re: Best Practice Amp
What, No Tubes?? I played thru a 401 also for a short, NICE Nice tones, and ya really DONT need a cab to play club sized gigs, Its only its durability I have concerns for
Budget, Crate V Series Real Cheap but tube tone,Gibson Valve Junior Oh this thing is another one trick pony , but ah the raunch of that drive without rattling your neighbors windows or for ya apt/ condo dwellers, sonically deconstructing your building |
