Show your amp!

(Pics plz!)

I'll post mine later when I lug it back up stairs (MG100DFX) I'm a small guy and its quite heavy. Just got a gain cap (or something) from marshall (4 free, yay!) to fix the gain on the clean channel and my dad sorted everything (technician) so for the first time I can actally adjust the clean decently and use the crunch on my amp. (I got it 2nd hand and left fixing this for quite some time)

Still I'd rarther have a better amp; at the moment I rely on solid state because its much easier to record with and its cheaper. I plan on getting a hughes n kettner matrix (or attax) head and a marshall cab to replace my current amp when I find the funds.

Sooooo, show us ye amp - and we'll all enjoy the cheap amp poRn.

MVL.

Marshall release a limited run of colours now and again - Sound Control in the UK had a run of blue amps and caps with check cloth and small logos.

Re: Show your amp!

Here is my Ceriatone 36 Watt EF86. One Channel is Marshall and the other is VOX. 36 Watts switchable to 18 with an effects loop. I am using an Avatar Cab with 2X12 Celestion Greenbacks.

I love it!

Re: Show your amp!

CS, when you gonna finish wiring those? It looks like the bottom pair goes nowhere. Also, you should use some monster wire while you are in there. Why not replace with some better stuff. Oh, also put a dab of solder on the quick connects, it helps with connectivity, those quick connects can move a bit on you.

Soooooooooooo, how's it sound? Are you getting the best of both worlds? Do either the Greenbacks or the Vintage 30's dominate the sound?

I wasnt finished in that photo, the other wires were already attached
to the circuit board.
i did solder them on because they are solder joints only on the Heritiage Greenbacks
I also put in two v-30's, the wires are good enough for
my purposes since i dont gig live, only record at home.
Thanks for the advice though
