Re: Show your amp!

Why? 50 watts is all you need so far. It would be fine for gigging too.

Being in Korea I had resigned myself to playing on a solid stateamp as everything is so expensive here, and small amps haven't hit here yet. Well, just today I saw an all tube (minus the rectifier I think) amp and speaker ''stack'' for $270 - I bought it. I think it may be 7 watts because its name is Tube-7, but the guy in the shop spoke next to no english. It is made in Korea. It is pretty cool, but way too clean really, only getting a little dirty when dimed - it has a boost switch that seems really to be just a treble-boost. It has a 12AX7 and a 6L6CM. It has volume, treble and bass controls - no gain knob... I am trying to think of a good pedal to put in front of it -I actually saw a couple of used Exotic pedals for sale - would they be an effective way to drive a very clean amp into distortion? Would replacing the 6L6 with a 6V6 be easy and would it help?

Anyway, I am quite happy to watch it glow as I play, check it out:

Cool. I like it. Good find.
