I'll likely get around to trying the 205C and Deuce via stereo chorus one day should sound fantastic with 4 Celestions running but for now I'm just having fun tweaking the 205 by itself.
Man I had a Peavy duce........Thats insane...That was my first "Real" amp....

the tiny terror just needs a little... a tiny bit of help to realize its full potential.
just by footprint alone, the dimensions lack the proper authority, kinda.

hence that rack box, for now. i'm waiting for the custom box with multi cut edges and covered in tolex, like a "normal" Orange.

i had to have one. i have a sickness.

Re: Show your amp!

just got the fargen mighty plex mk2 that i'm putting through it's paces now. so far, i'm liking it a lot. very nice cleans really surprised me. 30 watts, power scaling, and a 'decades' knob that switches between jtm45, plexi, and jcm 800 circuits.

Got this last night and broke the bank to do it, even though it was at super affordable used prices.

Say "Hello" to my new baby, My very first Mesa Boogie, and my very first halfstack, A Series I Mesa Road King with 4x12 Straight Recto Cab.

I love it, I'm gonna go to a hardware store and see if I can find some light jewel replacements in a different color, Other than that this amp is like "Sex for the ears".

Marshall did quite a few different colours , i thought I'd go for a red box to the build in. the amp was a metro kit.

I came soooo close to having purple tolex for my Phaez combo, but in the end I knew my wife would never get over having such a wild color accoutrement in the house.

Looks even better once I took the big hearts off (not a big fan of the logo, but love the amp), BUT it will tear the walls down. The option to swap between class A and AB gives it some different tonal posibilities and has the same great clean->dirty, it won't do metal but anything vintagey sounding is no problem. Great for the money, well... mine was free but still great for the asking price etc, its like the sweet tone of the normal BH range but this one you can really feel, and turn it up.. and the whole street can hear it.

Very cool. I didn't even know Blackheart made big amps until I seen a used BH 4x12 when I was visiting Guitar Center one day.

Maybe I'll cross paths with one of these someday.

Re: Show your amp!

I don't think I've posted this one before.....
Its a Magnatone M2 which I believe is from 1962-66. Its got the true pitch-shifting vibrato and puts out about 10 watts into a 12" Jensen Vibtranto speaker.
Its super dark and warm until you crank it up and then it roars like a marshall or something....soooo much overdrive with humbuckers driving it.

At moderate volumes, the vibrato is extremely lush and sounds kind of like a Leslie cab.

I have never seen another M2....though there are plenty of other M "suitcase" series on the bay.
