Bought a Marshall 6100 today.
I bought a used 30th Anniversary Marshall 6100 today (blue tolex, but no brass nameplate). It should be waiting for me when I get home.
![]() Pic from the ad: ![]() This will hopefully fill the high gain void in my life and look good perched on top of a purple Vintage Modern half-stack. I should have it all now. A good, responsive classic Marshall sound with the 2466, higher gain with the 6100, and nice cleans with my Blues DeVille. Who am I kidding. This isn't going to stop, is it?

Two tid-bits I can offer on this model....
1. run a fan into the back of it 2. if you ever lose output and it baffles you and your tech, replace the jacks in the loop |

Whaaaaa? No Brass logos? Aren't those the whole point of the 30th anniversary model?
Oh well, nice score man! Can't wait for more pics!

I hope I'm on the right track with this amp. I'm hoping for a kinda' modern metal sound (high gain, using contour to scoop the mids a little), but with more of a Marshall voice than Mesa. Does that make any sense? Anyway, I'm sure this amp will find a spot in my arsenal that isn't currently covered.

Re: Bought a Marshall 6100 today.
Does it have EL34 or 6L6 Power Tubes.
I know the 6100 had one that had different power tubes in it.
