Re: Ugh!! Played a 4x12 today

just wait til you use 2 or more of them.........

I love the sound of some of my combos but nothing beats the sound or feel of a full 100 watt stack.

Even on a 5 watt amp.
Nothing beats it.

Mine is a 5150 slant, series 2.
2 Sheffields and 2 GOK Kustoms in it.
The alnico Kustoms give it deeper bass response...there was really nothing wrong with the two Sheffields I pulled out of it.
180 dollars for the cab, a cool deal.

I think an 18w head and a 412 is the ultimate combination for me right now. Ideal jam volume and tone.

Oh, yea. I'm playing my Blackstar through a 4x12 and, even though it's not full size it's still is a lot of fun. I was offered a good deal on the cab and couldn't pass it up.

Chit, Bo.
The DR would also sound great through that.
I know!

Re: Ugh!! Played a 4x12 today

I've been thinking about trying the DR through it. I bet it would sound pretty good. The DR has the stock Jensen in it and leaves a little to be desired.

Re: Ugh!! Played a 4x12 today

I went from a Marshall 2x12 to a 4x12 this summer. Even at the same volume I noticed a huge difference.

Then I split the signal and added the VOX AC30 in stereo. Sweet gravy and biscuits!
