pulsing tube glow
Guys
I just noticed a pulsating glow in one of the el84s in my Marshall 2061. It glows with greater intensity when played loud and less intensity when played quietly. The glow of the other output tube stays constant all the time. The amp still sounds OK but this can't be normal so I think I'll change it out. Anybody else see this kind of thing? |

Re: pulsing tube glow
Actually . . . I checked with my amp tech and he says the pulsing is normal.
However as it is only happening on one tube, there is a good chance they are unbalanced. so now I feel doubly stupid
