Re: Bugera
Yeah. I guess he doesn't come around much. Otherwise, he might have avoided that trap.

Re: Bugera
So true
![]() Seriously, I've played a couple and thought they were great for the money... they DID sound a little cheap though. I liked the clean channel.

Re: Bugera
OK, no one has provided any facts, just...."it's junk". So here are some real facts, from real credible resourses, not someone who works in a mom and pop music store that doesn't carry them, thus let's bash what we don't sell and perhaps they will by my MG series because they are slammin"
What do you say about these positive reviews on both the tone and the excellent quality? You think Bugera paid off all these different people and magazines? As for the "mom and pop music store" comment... On the bench, 6/7/09 Do you think mom and pop could do stuff like that? Maybe you should have a look around once you pull your head out of your ass. I know nothing about Bugera amps, I've never seen one or even heard of them until this thread, and would much rather trust BCRGreg's assessment of them than something that was published in a magazine, "so it must be true".

Re: Bugera
I know you are but what am I.
Sorry, just took offence to all the bashing, without real facts.

Re: Bugera
Well, I guess the conclusion here is this:
Magazines gave/give the amp/s very positive reviews but there are concerns of quality/longevity from MLP members. ![]() Everyone happy with that?

Re: Bugera
The poster doesnt own one,he is asking about one.So the general consensus is you will get o.k-good tones from it but it will end up in the repair shop or the dumpster.Thats just a fact due to the bad history of the company.

Re: Bugera
I seriously doubt they were all payed off. Bugera does very little advertising, so your conspirecy theory doesn't work. Use the Lord's name in vein much? Geez

Re: Bugera
Tennisplayer, Bugera is owned by Berhinger. Berhinger is one of the major players in commercial, professional, and home audio, and they have an enormous advertising budget. You have heard from two unrelated sources (myself and BCRGreg) that magazines will print glowing reviews for companies that pay enough for the advertising. This is not hearsay or suspicion; it is first hand experience. I have done it.
You are doing yourself a disservice by being dismissive of this. Rather, you should learn from this little pearl of wisdom and be far more suspicious of the reviews you read in "major publications".

Re: Bugera
Sorry, I'm in the medical profession. Just play guitars for fun. I'm a Mesa fan btw and old Marshalls. I owned the Bugera 333XL for a year and sold it. Just wanted to try it out and see how it was. I liked it.

Re: Bugera
I think we can agree that as cheap as they come you can't make a top of the line product for that price. You have to cut corners.
