2X12" Extension Cab
Greetings:
I just replaced my JENSEN C12N speakers in both of my FENDER Pro Tube Pro Reverb amps with EMINENCE Cannabis Rex units. I'm thinking about putting the JENSENS to use in an extension cab. I would use the extension cab for my FENDER amps (NOTE: just one amp at a time) and my TRAYNOR YCV40WR when I use that amp. Does anyone have any experience with this product: 2x12 Closed Back Speaker Cabinet I don't need to go real elaborate or expensive with this "project". Thanks!

Re: 2X12" Extension Cab
Honestly, I've never seen a cab from that maker.
I got my 2x12 from Avatar; they run $229 empty. A superb cabinet, and it can be converted form semi-open to closed if needed. G212H Here's a pic of mine--at the time I was using it with a Fender Vibroverb, so I got the classic Fender look; I'd love to get a more vintage-looking one someday. Excuse the LPs hogging the picture...LOL. ![]() BB

Re: 2X12" Extension Cab
Seems like the specs are the right and the cab isn't so cheap as to make one question it. I think it's probably the same cab as an avatar honestly, as avatar doesn't build their own cabs.
I'd do it.

Re: 2X12" Extension Cab
I agree with analog. I have no first hand experience with this cab, but the specs look good. I'd go for it.

Re: 2X12" Extension Cab
I would go with Avatar over these guys, as these cabs are butt jointed. Avatar uses dovetail joints, which is much more sturdy. Also, Avatar is only about 25.00 dollars more.

Re: 2X12" Extension Cab
Heres a total noob question. Say you buy an empty cab and then you buy a couple celestions...
Do they come with the wiring and stuff to set it all up at home? Or do you have to go to a hardware store and get that stuff? Not like it would be a big deal either way...just wondering. |
