I might get a Peavey 5150 2x12 combo

I play heavy rock and metal, so this would be good for me and I know the clean isn't good but I already have an amp for clean.

What are your opinions on them? Which artist use the combos?

I have the 5150 head. The Combo is supposed to be biased more correctly then the head so you'll have a cleaner and smoother gain channel. The clean channel is NOT as bad as you'd think actually its pretty usable. I play pretty heavy stuff and this thing holds up.

The cons for the combo is the weight. I've heard it is extremely heavy.

Here's some info for you from Eurotubes:
euro-k

good luck!

Yeah that sounds great! I paid that for just the head. If you dig the sound $600 is worth it.

I was planning on getting some kind of halfstack but the price was good and the guy who is selling it lives close, so this is a pretty good deal. The only thing is I always wanted a Stack
