Just a quick vid I made of my 72 Twin Reverb, I think it sounds cool..still needs a few tweaks and should be ready for sunday when I can do part 2 cranked!

To me, a LP and a Fender Twin Reverb is the best clean sound out there.

I have a 69 sf I am working on or selling, I don't know what the owner wants to do yet.
Reverb on it is great, the rest of it is another story. It is a Texas something mod done by Torres. The owner never liked it.

Oh man, I dislike this modding of these old Fenders. Most of these amps just don't need it. If you can't get a sound from it as is, it's probably not the amp for you (I mean that figuratively, bfcg, not you personally).

Mods that don't involve drilling or cutting are ok, in that they can usually be reversed and don't generally damage things beyond repair. But with the amp you're talking about, the only mod I'd do is to 'blackface' it, then restore it to otherwise-original spec.

+1 My LP Classic and Fender Twin are the perfect match. The O/D channel
is subpar. But for warm, clean tones can't be beat.

The twin I refer to was given to me to repair. It was found left out on a porch for years. The dude that found it sent it to Torres. Torres took out the old tagboard and who knows what else and turned it into a noise machine. It went back and forth to torres at the owners expense more than twice across country.
The guy finally gave up on it and it became a big paperweight for the last 5 or 6 years.
He recently asked me to have a look at it. I want to rebuild it back to it's original specs and possibly blackface it... or not. But anything would be better than what it is now.
