BTW, the guitar is straight into the amp...no OD boxes of any kind. There is some echo and reverb in the effects loop.

Seriously though...I've gotten SRV tones with my Strat, 80s/90s tones with my LPs...it's very, very flexible. It has an extra gain stage that can be switched in on the OD channel...you can setup a nice Billy Gibbons tone, then hit the gain for some serious MEAT. LOL.

With the clean channel you could play some serious Jazz with a Jazzbox type guitar. Sweet Blackface cleans, with a reverb so lush you'll swear you're walking on shag carpeting...(what does that mean?) LOL

Unfortunately the only sound that got recorded was with the camera mic. Still, you can see Billy's great playing and phrasing.

The guy has an awesome guitar style...oh yeah, there's me thumping on the bass.

Those that can shred, shed...those that cannot...well, they switch to bass.

Not sure if this was mentioned here or not but I invited Bill to the SLAB, St.Louis amp and beer fest about a month ago. We had guys come all the way up from as far away as Chicago and everyone brought some killer gear. Bogner XTC, Splawn Quickrod, Guytron GT100, Egnater tourmaster, Budda SD45, Mesa Roadster. Nice guitars as well, Suhrs, Melancon, R8, PRS McCarty. Having Bill Landry there was a complete treat as his chops are insane! He brought two heads and two cabs. After twelve hours of everyone playing through everything, the consensus was that the Landry stood above the rest. It really filled the room with gorgous tone. This amp is the real deal and is very versatile. The clean channel is really good but can be set up for crunch that gets extremely close to the gain channel. The reverb is beautiful, warm and lush. Gain side from classic rock to Big Hair city! Best brown sound I've heard. Now you've heard it too!

Wow seems like a well rounded amp that can do a lot. So many choices these days its nice to see someone doing something right! Really cool. I may have to pick up the 50watter when it comes out!

Awesome. I'm actually heading over to Bill's tomorrow with Jeff (kickstand) to hang for a second. I haven't actually even had any conversations with you guys about how often you plan to play, the type of music, etc... I'm 99% sure it will be the type of music I like, though.

I am willing to put together a bass rig if it looks like this could work out. I'm a little hesitant to start buying stuff until we know more, if you get my drift.
