ohms help

Hey I dont know sqaut about ohms so basically im asking if this Peavey Classic 30 Head Tube Amp and more Guitar Amplifiers at GuitarCenter.com. can go into this Avatar Speakers the G212H DUAL VINTAGE 30 Closed Back one

yes it will. the peavey is a 16 ohm head so make sure that cab is ordered in the 16 ohm version.

Peavy website says 8 or 16. Most tube amps can run 8 or 16.

yea but on the head version at guitar center it says into 16...theres no 8 Peavey Classic 30 Head Tube Amp and more Guitar Amplifiers at GuitarCenter.com.

the owners manual states that the head is 16 ohms ONLY. as for whether you need a custom cab from avatar, just specify to them that the cab needs to be 16 ohms, there is no price difference as far as i know. it states on the avatar website that the cab is available in 4, 8, or 16 ohms. the best thing to do is to call avatar direct and find out what the options are.

Wow, that sucks. You can probably just rewire the speakers, i.e., parallel and series to get the load correct if you cannot order to the specified load or you find a cabinet you want used.
