New Mesa Boogie Stiletto Ace....
Just picked up a new Stiletto Ace today and all I can say is wow.. 50 Watt. Head with two channels.. EL34s for tubes.. This thing blows my JVM410 And Vintage modern out of the water... Clearer note definition when playing leads, doesn't sound processed to me at all.. Each channel has 3 distinct modes to work with including a tube rectifier and solid state diod... The other cool thing is, when you are ready to solo, there is a solo switch on the pedal to hit and it bumps your volume up to anything you want... Im running it through a mesa cab with two v30s and two G12h30s criss crossed..

Re: New Mesa Boogie Stiletto Ace....
Nice looking looks like a cross between an early HIWATT and
early Marshall

Re: New Mesa Boogie Stiletto Ace....
Mesa does make great, great stuff. I have one of the original Lonestars and I just put some JJ E34Ls in it this past year and it just smokes. I've played the Stilletos and liked them. If I remember right the bass control has a lot of power on this amp--the opposite of how it works on the Lonestar (the treble control determines how much signal is fed to the mid and bass controls instead of the bass control having prominance as it does on the Stilleto). How about those Mesa user manuals too, eh? The best and most comprehensive I've ever seen.

Re: New Mesa Boogie Stiletto Ace....
Pretty sure mine must have something wrong with it, because I got a used Ace combo a couple days a go, and I couldn't be more disappointed. I don't know if its the tubes or what, but something needs to be fixed on this thing if its going to sound any kind of good. (The clean channels are fine, but the gain is weak, no real sustain.)
