NSD - New Speaker Day
Yesterday I received a SCUMBACK M75 8Ω 65 watt speaker and installed it in my MESA/Boogie Express 5:50. I wasn't totally sold on the stock CELESTION Black Shadow so I took a gamble and bought the SCUMBACK.
I was a little skeptical at first, but once I started playing along with some recorded material I began to hear/feel a noticeable positive change in the dynamics and touch sensitivity of my guitar/amp setup. The stock speaker was a little too bass heavy for my liking. The SCUMBACK seems a little more balanced and doesn't have the high end "spike" of the stock speaker. This speaker is very articulate/dynamic and I can ease off on my pick attack somewhat.
