They sounded really good. Captured exactly what I heard at the launch. Did not help my gas one bit!

Re: Landry amp demos up on youtube. Nice!

Amp sounds great...my playing...not so much... Billy's guitar (the Floyd Rose one) has such a flat, narrow neck with such low action that I kept hitting the pickups when picking. He's also a bit smaller than myself, so the guitar was right up against my chin...LOL.

I also need some bigger frets on my Strat...the vintage ones are about gone, I'm afraid.

I hate hearing myself play...LOL. That amp is just righteous, however. All the tone you'd ever want than some.

Billy's guitars also feature WBs... Too bad they didn't get any vids with my goldtop.

Re: Landry amp demos up on youtube. Nice!

The amps sounded great as did all of the playing......I gotta like Bill cause Frampton is one of the reasons I play guitar....outstanding job!
BB...as always you did awsome....you play bass very well too....for a white guy with no rhytym......

The WB's sounded great too.

However....I have a complaint......not one Les Paul?????......

Re: Landry amp demos up on youtube. Nice!

Amp retails for $2650, but Billy will knock a few $$ off for MLP members, I believe.

I played my Goldtop with Will's '57 Protos, but it didn't get filmed--too bad, as the bridge was absolutely SCREAMING through that amp.

Re: Landry amp demos up on youtube. Nice!

That jam was fun...we must have gone for at least 20 minutes.

Brett--the GT had Will's 6707s in it when you played it last, I believe. Having a '57 Reissue with '57 wire pickups is kinda cool--they are staying in there for awhile, I think.

Re: Landry amp demos up on youtube. Nice!

That's a good idea. They could follow the same format if they wanted, but mic the amps, bass and kit properly. Most of what I could hear on those clips was the room sound, with reverb and echo going on. It made it much messier than a close mic.

I couldn't really tell what the amps sounded like from those clips, other than the macro stuff: clean, dirty, very dirty, cleaning up with volume etc. I can't really hear what they're like, though.

cheers,
Splat
