Jam night with the Landry amp...

Met up with Billy at one of the local jam nights in STL last night. Great bar/restaurant called the Hwy61 Roadhouse.

Billy brought an amp and 2x12 cab, I brought Red, my R9.

It was an awesome night. The host band was Alvin Jett and the Phat Noiz Blues Band. What a great guy. Always has a smile on his face.

There were a lot of young players, as well--some had their parents there. It was cool to see young players get up there and jam on some blues.

I got up and played a few tunes--the amp was singing. I later got up and grabbed an amp, and we had 4 guitars playing. Everyone got a turn, even the keys/bass/drums. Alvin is a great player, and generously gave everyone a chance to play.

I got up again later with the bass/drums and did a few tunes--cranked it up a bit--wow, what a great sound. Musical feedback just by thinking about it.

Just had to post about it--it was a blast. I think my Tuesdays are going to be taken for awhile!

That's a pretty cool place. I did an acoustic thing there every thursday for awhile. Actually had my rehearsal dinner there...

I think we're going to try and record a few things next time, but I'll also try and get a couple of cheap vid clips done.

I think WB is going to get some better ones.

John is THE MAN....love his playing style.

Can't wait to hear some clips.

Good idea to get your amp some worthy exposure... nice job!

Great to hear a good review, don't you just love the round-robin type jams.
