Re: Phaez Daisycutter 8 (studio quality demo) burnham 112 cab and shell

Great demo and great work on the cabs!

My only reason I haven't picked one up yet is the fact that the Phaez is not a complete built amp.
I'm no wood worker and I have no desire to be. Cudos to those whom have the talent and drive to do such work.....I have neither of those attributes.

It's not my business, but as a business owner, I would create a partnership with you........if I were Phaez.
Just to accomodate the Tards like me........

Randy will have a cabinet made for you and ship it complete for an additional $190. They are well made cabinets by Jim (ANEAS)...

I can promise you Randy's guy Jim will build a great custom head cab for less than $200. Or hit up Alex (above) or Sourmash. Sourmash did my 1x12. Jim did my head cab. I honestly think Randy is so busy he doesn't need to update his site. Yet.

it's a bit outdated. I've built a lot of cool cabs that aren't in the gallery yet.

thank you! I knew from the beginning I couldn't make the cheapest cabs out there, so I decided to build high quality boutique cabs that you won't see everywhere. Good luck on your cab search! I love a good 212! I'm selling off my 412 and building myself a 212 instead.

i wish i had your building skills. i have two 4x12s and want a 2x12 for when a half stack isn't enough and a full stack is too much... i seem to find myself in this situation often.

you are correct... it is not on the website. Randy will provide a quote when requested though. I think the reason he doesn't advertise the head cabs is because it is less bulky to ship the chassis only (particularly internationally) and it gives the customer the option to order a cabinet from a supplier that is closer to them to reduce shipping charges on the cabinet.

Rory [redking] is correct ..Randy doesn't advertise Head Cabs ...but I build Headcabs for him when a buyer request it already to go for $180 just ask Randy when you order....JIM.....and his web needs updating

For a builder to make a good quality cab especially when doing one offs can be a bit more costly...the reason some companies can have lower prices they are set up for a big production runs ,but in the build can be flaws due to speedy builds ...so you have to take the cost of boutique cab builders to be somewhat more costly....I know when Alex makes a cab you can be sure there is less chance for flaws....that is why we at Phaez do suggest to check out Alex[Burnham} if you want one built to your specs....I love the Combo Cab in purple he made....I build Headcabs for Phaez and I build Speaker Cabs for local players and I know what it takes to make a superior cab with a solid build ....I have been building high quality PA cabs and HI FI speakers for some 30 yrs....JIM

I was in the market for a head cab for my Phaze DC before I sold it to some guy in N.H. Not sure about the speaker cabs but Alex had the best price for the head cabs with lot of different options if someone ever needs one. Had few emails with him. Great communication and easy to work with.
