Carr Hammerhead?

I've never really been into boutique amps, but I've got a shot at one of these via a trade. The reviews I've read seem to be good... from what I've read, it's a gritty sounding amp that you can get Marshall -like sounds out of...

Any of you own or played through one?

Re: Carr Hammerhead?

Had one of the early 1x12's when Steve first came out with them. It's an amp that needs to played loud to get the goods out of it. Once you get used to how the knobs work, it was a "set and forget" amp for me. Great sounding amp for 25w. Tone was kinda like 80% Marshall & 20% Bassman. I'd own it again if a cheap one came around.
