Re: mesa mark v - standby related question

No damage will come to an unplugged amp that is not connected to a speaker cab. It is done all of the time with heads.

My personal practice is to make sure the speaker cab is connected before I plug the amp in - just to be damn sure I have the speaker connected before I start playing.

oo im sorry my bad english is misleading..

by unplugged I mean no guitar connected..still having the amp on in standby mode nothing will happen

I was wandering if it is the same case without connecting a guitar cab while the amp is on on standby..

this isnt in the manual° I read the somewhere some time ago what mesa boogies can do regarding this sbjects but I cant find it!

OK.

You won't hurt the amp by putting it in standby with the speaker cab not connected , but I really DO NOT recommend doing this. It's just too easy to forget plugging in the cab before you start playing and the practice will invite disaster.

I always make sure the speaker is connected before I even plug the amp in.
