But DAMN, they are expensive. I really love the clean sound they give. Almost reminds me of a vox ac30, but I will probably never be able to afford one..... What do you guys think?

I have the original PTP handwired version, with the 'vintage' styling. GREAT amp. Really nails the magnatone vibe. You can coax a lot of tones out of it, handles blues, r&b, all the way up to a 70s 'classic' rock, esp with a boost pedal. Very touch sensitive amp.

The new Chinese version is only $899 for the combo. Great deal if you ask me.

900.00 is a great deal on an import amp from china?

Guess i got off at the wrong bus stop

i have less than that into 3 handmade clones that can compete with that amp in every way and destroy it in build quality

where you shopping?

I think you can shop around on ebay and find a vintage tonemaster or one of it's rebranded bretheran for around that? I know the prices have become inflated but you should be able to find one with a similar circuit for pretty inexpensive.

Great price in comparison to the handwired version

But seriously, it does seem to be a great sounding amp.

I disagre, I wouldn't buy new though, but used they can go for as low as 400. That ain't bad, I'd just rather have an original Vox AC 30. Don't think that's ever going to happen, even though I've heard they are quite common....
