OAD (old amps day)
Happy old amp day to me. Got my 76 JMP 2204, my 78 Champ, and my Champion 600 back from Mark Beaulieu in La Vale, MD. The Champ had a cracked tube socket, the Champion had a burnt resistor and blown tube, and the JMP got fresh tubes for the first time in 15 years.
I also got to play 2 50 watt Plexis, a 100 watt Plexi, and a couple of Plexi clones Mark built, along with trying several of his cabinets and speaker combos. I played all of these via his early 70's LP Deluxe. Nice afternoon! My amps: ![]() My dueling SGs: ![]() I just played the Champ while photobucket threw a wobbler. Wow. It has never sounded this good. I wonder how many years that tube socket has been cracked?

Re: OAD (old amps day)
The SG's must be happy to have thier old buddies back. I see the maestro phaser sitting there. A bit off topic but I'm a big phaser fan and I've owned a few but I've never tried the maestro how are you liking that?

Sound clips.
![]() The Champ is just killing me tonight. I am loving it. Clean Champ with SG Classic: MP3 Player SoundClick Champ with Maestro Fuzz and SG Classic: MP3 Player SoundClick Neither recording is doing justice to the sound in the room. I need to work on that.

Re: OAD (old amps day)
The champ sounds great. I like the upper harmonics on the cleanest part of the 1st clip. Thanks for squaring away the maestro and also for providing the great clips I love that retro hairy sound man.
