Re: Answers to Phaez criticisms for dummies

Well it's pretty sad that certain individuals have to go and bash someone's work for no good reason other than some personal issues they might have. I don't think you'll hear one bad word about Phaez amps from anyone who actually owns one.

I'm no amp expert, but I have been using them for over 30 years and I've owned & played some of the best mass produced amps available. My Phaez is hands down the best amp I've ever tried. As far as safety and reliability, I've used my Phaez for three years now and haven't had any type of issue at all. I can't say that about some of the other amps I've owned. I actually gave up on tube amps for a while because I found them to be slightly flakey. Not the Phaez, it always sounds exactly the same every time I fire it up and it never fails to amaze me.

Randy has done a fantastic job for many of us. Personally, I can buy any amp I want regardless of price but I have better things to do with my money than pay for a name plate. I certainly appreciate being able to buy this kind of tone and hand made quality w/o paying a ridiculous price.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but it's worth mentioning that the internet loves to attack grand declarations like, "best ever", "when is everyone else going to...", etc., whether it's deserved or not.

If you're going to write an absolute statement as fact, be prepared to back it up with tangibles. If not, get ready for harsh criticism. Better yet, temper the sweeping generalization(s).

You know you can't win for loosing ,there is always some one ready to challenge any statement weather good or bad ,its best to look the other way and move on, life is to short for arguing...just enjoy what makes you happy and let others be.....JIM

Yeah, when I got to that part, the term "special pleading" popped up immediately in my head.

I've built repaired redesigned stuff for years - elecronic engineer, repairman, extra class ham radio... I would have no concerns or issues with the Phaez construction, based on the gut shot photos. I'd say they look clean and professional.

Re: Answers to Phaez criticisms for dummies

Thanks for the gutshots, guys, as I suspected...nice workmanship.

Also, River's post? Pure comedy gold. Hell, I have a spare parts drawer, and it looks neater than that!

Bottom line, if Phaez ever gets the credibility he has here on the open market, those prototype units are gonna be worth big bucks, so if you're lucky enough to own one, just smile and nod the next time some asshat tries to tell you that your Phaez amp is shit. It ain't.

All this from someone who doesn't own a Phaez.

That's one of the things I thought. The other thing I thought was that if there's any kind of ventilation in there at all, that's an awful lot of dust-catching crevices ... and if there's no ventilation for that "parts-drawer" ( ) then he should worry about the "fire hazard" in his own box first. I can't imagine that thing dissipating heat very efficiently at all.
