Guitar monitor cab???
I was thinking about making a monitor style cab to use in front of me at shows. Last little while I have been having a hard time hearing my amp and was putting it on an amp stand, but then the audience can't hear it as well if we don't mic. Has anyone tried this? I have 2 extra speakers and was gonna make one this weekend to try at our next gig and I searched and Avatar has started making a 2x12.

But, as for the monitor, it's a good idea, Mike Campbell (Tom Petty) does this and it sure works for him. I think he just uses a speaker in a monitor style cab in front of him. I think I'd just go buy a cheap monitor, replace the speaker and disconnect the horn if it has one. |

Re: Guitar monitor cab???
Why not just use an active PA monitor from a lineout on your amp? You could build the monitor (passive) and run it from your speaker output and your main cab to the other speaker output.
