Speaker for Classic 30 1x12

I've heard that changing the speaker out on the Classic 30 as well as the Tweaker is highly recommended. I am getting a G12T-75. Would this be an improvement over the Blue Marvel or the G12H-30 that is in these amps, respectively?

I used to play a Classic 30 and switched the Blue Marvel with a Celestion V30 with good results.....

I found the vintage 30 to ice picky in that amp. I went for the lead 80

Blue Marvel is not a good driver, you can find a Sheffield 1230. Eminence and Celestion make good drivers too

Re: Speaker for Classic 30 1x12

Ive tried a lot of speaker combinations with my classic 30's. In a 1x12 setup, I like a 50 watt ceramic weber blue dog best. As far as multiple speakers, greenbacks are great with these amps, esp. closed back cabs.

My classic 50 came with blue marvels, I put in the Celestion Golds that I had bought for my future Vox purchase and it was like

I hope that helps.

I used an "vintage" Vintage 30 in that amp which was well burned in and did not produced any ice-picky sounds at all.....
This speaker is now in an Blues Junior with very good results.

Vintage Rola from an old Hammond. As long as you don't blow it up it sounds great and costs next to nothing breaks up faster than a a V30 does though.

I've got the G12T-75 in my classic 30. Best speaker for the job!
