Re: When is everyone else here going to get a Sourmash cab built for their Phaez?
I'm working on the tees right now. Still hoping there is enough interest to make those happen (shooting for 24 for the first batch; i'm taking 3 of them myself). I will find some waterslides online by the end of the week! PM me if you don't get an update by then...

Mind PMing me prices on those shirts? Maybe I'll take a trip out to Vancouver to pick up some of those with a logo for my asheville.

Re: When is everyone else here going to get a Sourmash cab built for their Phaez?
So I checked out Sourmash, Stage Craft and MojoTone. I also looked at Port City and Forte but I try to stay more traditional with cabs and speakers. I go for more vintage Marshall style cabs with Celestions. My next cab is getting Celestion Creambacks. I hate that 412 cabs are directional but I decided to get the diagonal 212 anyway, even though I know they are a bit directional like 412 cabs. Maybe I should have gotten a Port City or somthing, but I think the diagonal is best bet and Sourmash is the cheapest. I want to see if he would build me a convertible back just in case I want to run it semi open.

Re: When is everyone else here going to get a Sourmash cab built for their Phaez?
Price and reviews are exactly why I went with Sourmash a couple of years ago. A couple of years go by and I start doing the research all over again. I tried very hard to beat Sourmash's prices with the same type of reviews and couldn't. There is one seller on eBay I almost rolled the dice with, but there were a lot of bad reviews. Even though those reviews were apparently dated I felt the savings were too much a gamble.
He does convertible's. Be sure you are specific about including the diagonal design. I've seen him do straight vertical 2x12's. One thing I've noticed is he'll make decisions like that without consulting you. |

Re: When is everyone else here going to get a Sourmash cab built for their Phaez?
If he doesn't pay attention, I might go with Stage Craft or Mojo....but I want the convertible back assuming the pieces are tight like my Stona Age 212 cabinet.
I just want to stick with a traditional style cab and avoid the fancy Port City and Forte, ported cabs. I am considering this guy! Nice guy and cheaper than anyone! http://www.thecabguy.com/index.php |

Lol. Let us know which way you go. We're always looking for better for cheaper. At least I am.

Bob emailed me yesterday to verify that I wanted an angled cab. His communication has gotten better, I think.

Re: When is everyone else here going to get a Sourmash cab built for their Phaez?
Oh yeah, that's no small decision IMO. He has always made sure he knows exactly what I wanted.
The first time I ordered I had a specific idea in mind. It was a Marshall style head. The confusion I caused (through email) was due to the fact that I didn't realize that some Marshall heads and styles were different dimensions. He asked me to call to make sure he understood what I was asking for. At the time I didn't know the difference between piping and bead. You can see why I caused confusion. . He couldn't have been cooler on the phone. My comment was made for people who have a specific idea in mind. That you need to make sure you convey it. Bob's a great guy to deal with. From beginning to end. I have no affiliation and I hope people don't think I'm "pushing" his cabs. There are a lot of great cab builders. I tried to beat his price and quality and could not. That's why I chose him. YMMV. |

Re: When is everyone else here going to get a Sourmash cab built for their Phaez?
kingedb, thanks bro! I just need to be sure his quality is top shelf. My other cabs are THD, Bogner and Stone Age so I like high end gear. Sourmash has the best prices over Stage Craft and MojoTone.
Any of you guys play a Port City cabinet? That is the only other one I considered! Thanks all!

I am talking to this guy. He builds each cab by himself by hand as if he is building for himself and cheap!

They look solid and they are cheaper. Only one way to find out.
I'll be waiting eagerly for a new cab thread if you pull the trigger. |

This is a Marshall copy built by The Cab Guy.
John says he will put his cabs up against anyone, top shelf. He builds his cabs as if he is building for himself. He seems like a real stand up guy!

Re: When is everyone else here going to get a Sourmash cab built for their Phaez?
I think I could get 'em for pretty cheap with that quantity too, but I doubt I'll be ordering anywhere near 50 shirts. Right now there are only 12 or so shirts on the wanted list. If I can get 24 ordered, the price will be reasonable - no more than I paid for my Reinhardt tees (which were the exact same heavy-weight cotton shirt).

I probably shouldn't have posted that. Don't want to get him in a jam.

Re: When is everyone else here going to get a Sourmash cab built for their Phaez?
Help out guys...what is a good tolex and grill for my cab? I am doing a large Marshall style 27x26x14 diagonal cab and my amps are silver and black Splawn, black, gold and beige Bogner Shiva and black and silver PWE Event Horizon.
For those of you who saw the Marshall style cab I posted, that was sweet! It had this checkerboard black and silver grill! This is also nice!
