Thanks all!!!! Don't have any recording equipment, but I'll see what I can do about posting some audio, straightening out those tubes and keeping it out of the fireplace!

Re: Nad!!!!! Nad!!!!! Nad!!!!!

Need some help from you guys/gals. If you can believe this, I haven't played through my latest acquisition, my 1974X. I know, I know...

Even though we're having company today, I'm going to try nonetheless. Any suggestion on which Guitar I should use first?

Thanks,

42 lbs. just right. That's a good buy in the amp department. Congrats.

Re: Nad!!!!! Nad!!!!! Nad!!!!!

Wow!!! Does that have modeling?? I remember. Looking at the 1974x a while back (online-- I've never even seen one in person) and swore it was the amp for me. It seemed like Marshall had it right. And they STOPPED MAKING THEM??!! Do I have that wrong?? That's what I thought I read on their sight. Anyway, I didn't have the coin for it and won't for a while. But if I feel the need for another Marshall, that's gonna be the one.
I bet you're lovin' that thing. I'm so jealous that there really aren't even words for it. I would totally trade a Dumble for one of these!! (Heh heh heh)
Congrats, man. Any new tonal voyages yet??

They didn't stop making them. But they did stop importing into the US, something to do with increased inspection costs. Congrats on yours, I love mine. These amps really like NOS British Valves. You can get a set for just a little more than a premium new set.

Re: Nad!!!!! Nad!!!!! Nad!!!!!

Oh yeah, if you want to really get a kick out of your new Marshall. Try a treble booster, like the Beano boost, or Java Boost. It takes your already cranking amp, and licks it up a notch. These pedals are similar to the Rangemaster that Clapton used to use on his Marshalls.

Thanks M&M!!!! tele52 is exactly right, they're still made, but aren't imported into the U.S. any longer. So far I've only played it direct, which for me is really good enough the way it sounds. Haven't tried any of my pedals with it, but I'm interested to see how they are, especially my Fulltone OCD. I love that thing!!!!
