Now I find this hard to believe. I know for a fact the Rat Fink wasn't around before the Civil War!

Well done, Jim. I hope we did better than Airbus. When the pieces come together, fingers crossed, they fit.

It will be a thrill to see it an a cab. It's great that it's in a head cab. This way the amp itself will be visible from the back. The trannys do look very cool. In a combo they'd never be seen again.

Morphing old junk amps into usable guitar amps is a blast. I think it's the most fun of all builds. You really get to let you imagination run wild.

Re: SingleCut's DIY Amp Build

thank you jim and thank you don.
i've played this every day since it's arrival. it's now my living room setup. and it's really a great amp. lots of gain, back off the volume and it cleans up pretty well. and the best part no pedals needed.
i will post pics asap upon it's insertion into it's new home.
don is onto something guys. get in now , or be sorry.

WOW, this is very cool. A "Sticky". Thanks, BB!

Jake, this IS a wonderful place. There's a lot to be learned here. How to fix a busted-ass amp, answers to all things spiritual and metaphysical, pet grooming, decency and anything else you can think of. I love it.

Thank you guys for making this a worthwhile place to spend some time.

Hey Don, since this is a sticky maybe you should edit the original post to include the standard "filter caps, heads up you could die" disclaimer.

Outstanding! Can't be long now. Hope it doesn't get bashed during shipping, as the amp did.

When I shipped the amp to RH, I asked UPS about a claim for the damage done to SC's amp. I was told I couldn't file a claim since UPS didn't pack the amp. I wasn't going to anyway, but I was stunned at that answer.

Because it is a lighter package it may get tossed around...here's hoping it gets to S/C in tact..you can't trust these shippers
