I don't mean to bother but need some help.

I just started playing an electric guitar and I have been learning Blue Sky by the ABB. I've got the song down quite well just a little more practice and hopefully it will be better. I just was wondering if someone could help me with a good amp setting for this particular song. I've got a pretty decent clean tone but an improvement is in order. What amps setting would you use? I'm using a Vox Pathfinder 15R amp with a Schecter Corsair guitar.
Thanks in advance for the help! Take it easy.

not really sure how to answer this but I guess sit down and listen to the song and try and isolate the guitar. Note down how much bass, mid and treble you think you hear on a scale of 1 to ten. I would sit down with your amp with every tone control on half way and tweak to your specs that you noted. Remember though that recorded songs are heavily mixed and compressed that you will not get an exact replicated tone but in the same ball park

Hey man I appreciate that. I never really thought of the recorded song being mixed and compressed. I've gotten it pretty close but I will give it some more work this evening. Thanks again for you help!

Re: I don't mean to bother but need some help.

legit questions like yours are never a bother. its the incredibly stupid ones like "does my pickguard enhance tone" or "if i point my guitar upward will i have slashtone" that are bothersome.

as far as your question goes, try turning your amp knobs to these settings:
treb - 9 oclock
mid - 12 o clock
bass - 1 or 2 o clock

im assuming you have a les paul or the like, so try the middle position with the brige full up and the bass backed off about halfway on vol and the tone all the way down. that should get you close.

Thanks! I'll give it a try! I can promise I wouldn't ask a question like those.
