Practice amp suggestions
Hello, I'm new here, I currently have an Epi Les Paul Standard (vintage sunburst) LOVE IT! I'm trying to get a good tone out of my amp but they both sounds like crap, I have a Fender Champion 110 15 watt and a Marshall MG10CD 10 watt both I'm not happy at all with any suggestions on a great sounding practice amp in around the $250 range I'm looking for a Mike Ness social distortion tone (i've already downtuned a 1/2 on the geetar) and only use the bridge pickup, I just love his tone but can't get it... Please help!!!
Thank you |

Re: Practice amp suggestions
SD uses LP's with P-90's so the single coil sound may be hard to achieve with HB's. I really like my Blackheart combo (about $300). Probably need a distortion pedal to get to SD's sound though.

Re: Practice amp suggestions
Take the Fender and dime the controls, then use the volume and tone controls on the guitar to get your tone. I love little amps like that, on recordings it can sound like a stack.

Re: Practice amp suggestions
You could go with the Roland Micro Cube. I've started a similar thread a couple of weeks back. I'm actually going down to Sam Ash and picking mine up TODAY !!!!
