Tech 21 Trademark 30 users?
are there any Tech 21 Trademark 30 users out there?
i just got one the other day hmmm i do like that its analog wired and has a nice spring reverb but it just sounds kinda too muddy.

I have one of the first run TM30's with black grill face (I think the tweed looks cooler though).
I find it's very sensitive to different pu's, height, strength (could be related to the muddiness you're experiencing)... and you have to tweek the active eqs until you find what you're looking for with whatever guitar you're playing. Unlike the digital modeling amps where every guitar sounds perfectly the same.. push a button Bassman, push a button Plexi. It's solid state so it doesnt have the nice soft compressed feel of a tube amp, but it's a nice little practice amp that can do live gigs mic'd or using XLR direct to board. If you havent done so yet record some samples. Can patch from headphone out to pc also instead of using XLR. Personally, I was stunned at how nice the tweed/reverb settings sounded recorded. |
