Phaez Amps [merged]

I look at it this way - if you are going to build your brand through this site, I think it is a solid gesture to support the site and give something back.

In some cases that is the sharing of one's knowledge and helping out other members and going above and beyond the call of duty. This happens alot here in the squawk box and in the luthier forum in particular.

In other cases, I think a sponsorship of the site as a vendor is a classy way to do that.

Some guys do both....some guys do neither...

I think it stinks, I might find every old Phaez thread and bump 'em up to page 1 just to piss off whoever it was that got butthurt enough to want the threads merged in the first place.

Randy doesn't advertise here, nor does he sell here. While I do think it'd be nice for him to register here, since there are so many fans, it should by no means be necessary, and more than you'd expect Fender, or Marshall to become registered vendors.

Fact is he's not a vendor here on MLP, so I see no reason that he should have to register. It'd be nice, but that's about it.

I mean, seriously, you're gonna tell the guy that because a whole lot of people who are not him post on a site, that he has to give them money? That seems pretty coo-coo.

Yeah, but that's my point. He didn't build his brand here. We did. It'd be a solid gesture indeed, but I wouldn't expect anything of him, and to demand would be far more ridiculous. My issue is that Phaez is being unfairly singled out.

And I really can't give a damn if some folks don't like seeing a bunch of Phaez posts. I don't like seeing a bunch of Marshall posts, but you know what I do when I check these forums and see nothing but Marshall posts? Close the tab. I don't go run and cry about... shoot. I don't even know what's to cry about.

Anyways, if this is really how MLP wants to play it, then my days here may just well be finished. Not that that's a threat or anything, as I'm sure no one really cares, but it'd be a shame for me. This place has taught me a lot, and there are some real good folks here, but if there's going to be a blatant bias in favor of large scale manufacturers, then, well, MLP can eat my shorts.

That accurately and succinctly expresses how I feel about things right now. I have typed up and deleted more than one rant since I saw this merged thread as I do not want to come accross as a juvenile tantrum throwing a-hole. I too see this as one amp being unfairly singled out but the consequences are effecting the enthusiasts not the manufacturer. We have been targeted due to our enthusiasm for an excellent product and been muzzled.

Did I mention that this seriously boils my piss?

While i mimic most of the feelings posted here, We need to just bomb the Mods with PM's asking for the threads to be restored. We dont want to let our emotions piss off the powers that be and end up losing everything.

But i will agree with Onioner, The phaez guys and threads are what keep me coming back over and over to MLP. i am not sure i want to stay around if everything is going to be lumped into one giant thread and we cant have several different discussions going at once

You would .think all of the mods would have to agree on a move like this. Quite a few Phaez owners here, and I for one enjoyed reading the different Phaez threads. Its going to be insane in here now with ALL of the Phaez stuff in one thread.
