aND my other older version is tubed up with vintage glass. i figured i'd offer it to him before putting it up in the classifieds and he wanted it. so it worked out well for us both. he gets a killer and i get closer to placing my order. win/ win as they say. it's a clean machine and he's going to be blown away. and don't forget , i still have my HRM/HOT CAT combo so don't feel bad for me

re: Phaez Amps [merged]
Ah, ok. Thanks for the link but i have a plan for a head cab already.
I think the idea is pretty cool. It started with me finding a marshall 1965 cabinet. That is a 4x10 made for the Lead 100 mosfet heads of the jcm800 era. Then i realised that the 70s JMP heads looks exactly like the mosfet heads minus the size and the front plate. So i have got a mosfet head that sits perfectly on the 4x10 cab and if i gut it and put the mlp35 chassis in there - voilá! A downsized JMP halfstack! I have yet to see if everything fits but the measurements says it should.

Re: Phaez on the way!!!!!
Hey Rosco
You are going to love the JTM 25. It has 2 6V6's in it and I like how it gives that amp more of a Bassman feel....suits my ears anyway. I could only imagine how great it will sound with you playing it. I would recommend the boost switch too, just for that little extra. Randy could probably do a footswitch for that. Heard from Rich lately? Miss seeing him around here!! |

re: Phaez Amps [merged]
Very nice looking amp. Does it not have a boost? My JTM 18 controls are; gain, boost, mod, treble, bass, mid, and master. Just curious, and again, nice looking amp!

re: Phaez Amps [merged]
Thanks!
Yeah - boost switch in the back (I think it has control pot too) with the mod control and effects loop.

re: Phaez Amps [merged]
The mod knob is sweet, really lets you fine tune your tone. Also, I thought I wanted a boost switch rather than knob, but Randy used a pot instead, and I am so happy that he did.
