Well, I went and got this RM50C. I bought it used and also scored a used Blackface and XTC module to go in it. Should all be here mid-week. Man, I am excited about this little guy!!! Tone report to come...

really powerful amp.

Re: New Randall MTS amp inbound!!!
I have been a Randall dealer for years, and got to play with prototypes of these amps as they were being finalized. Awesome stuff.

Re: New Randall MTS amp inbound!!!
The ones in the pic are indeed Egnater modules. I could not afford those, so I got the amp empty and bought a second hand XTC and Blackface module. I want the plexi bad, but could not pass up the deal on the XTC.

I really want to try out these amps. They seem like a great product. I heard that the egnator modules can also fit the randalls!

Re: New Randall MTS amp inbound!!!
My brother picked up a RM100 this past winter. It's a fun amp! Sounds really good and tube changes are a breeze. He has a few modules - Clean, Plexi, Brown, Ultra Lead, and I think he has an XTC inbound. I dig the Plexi myself.

Re: New Randall MTS amp inbound!!!
I have an RM100M and its a bad ass amp. There are some mods that you should do to a couple modules like the blackface and SL+. My blackface sucked before the mods. I have the Egnater Erect module which is supposed to sound like the rectifier but Ive never played one so I couldnt tell you if its close or not. Randall's version is the recto.
My modded SL+ is simply awesome. The plexi is supposed to have a little less gain than the SL+. I think youll like the XTC. What type of music do you play? Check out these sites for mods and sound clips: MTS Forum :: Index Grail Tone - Randall MTS Series Module Modifications Grail Tone - Randall MTS Series Modules Shane |

Re: New Randall MTS amp inbound!!!
I like to try to play most any style, though classic rock is my favorite. The XTC was something I wanted more for fun. Even though that's not my normal musical tone, it is still something I like to play around with. Oh, thanks though! That forum is where I found this amp!
