Original 1960 PAF Pickup, originally from an early 1961 Les Paul/SG Standard. This pickup has been inspected IN-HAND by a leading national vintage guitar tech/collector for over 30 years who has personally owned over 2 dozen 1958-60 Les Paul Bursts and every conceivable PAF-equipped Gibson electric
Has 14" lead, long-magnet, never re-wound, correct tooling marks, has the pre-61 features: black leads(vs the the black & white leads for each coil found on post-60 PAFS), and each coil has the lead coming out of the underside(vs coming out of the tape on post-60 PAFs).
Output is 7.77 Ohms; perfect for the neck position. Has the sweet & warm top end, strong mids, and tight bottom; it's one of the good ones! Only cosmetic flaw is a 1/2" thin gash on bottom of bobbin with the flat poles(see pic). No big deal, especially with a cover on, but I did want to make sure to mention it. I do have a pair of matching PAF nickel covers from the same guitar this PAF came from, also available separately.
Only reason I'm selling is: this PAF, along with an older Timbucker #19(available separately; they make a great pair!) were in a Rossington Les Paul I've decided to sell(I have 2) so I restored the Rossington back to original with the Burstbuckers.
