1998 Gibson Les Paul R9.
100% stock except the switch tip.
Extremely nice condition, super clean for 14 years old.
The frets have very minimal wear, no dents or grooves.
Just a few very minor blems as pictured. A few little indents from a guitar hanger(not Nitro burn), and a few other little dings elsewhere. Nothing even close to bad. No buckle rash to be found.
The color/top is absolutely beautiful, the pics don't even come close to doing them justice. There isn't a bad angle on this guitar, it pops everywhere in person. Also, from a reliable source I was told that this color isn't all that common, either is the darkback.
It plays amazing, just setup with 10-46 strings. The frets, nut and action are as good as any Plek'd LP that I've played. Plus with the taller frets it plays so much nicer than the recent R9's(to me). The neck is typical R9 size, not a baseball bat but still chunky. Sorry I don't have calipers.
Weighs 8lbs. 13.4oz without the pickguard but with the heavy stock tailpiece.
Not much else to say.. This is without a doubt the best R9 that I've had my hands on and that's saying alot!
Oh yeah... Your choice of the original rare Custom Historic case in mint condition or a brand new Lifton RI in mint condition.
$5500 OBO. I strongly prefer a bank transfer or certified check on this sale. I would even more prefer a local cash sale. I will consider trades plus cash but will need a decent amount of cash in the deal. Really only interested in LP's, SG's, PRS guitars. No amps.
Thanks for looking!
