Aniline dye ?

Who sells or do they still sell the old style aniline dye like they used back in the 50`s ? I`m taking the plunge and doing a scratch build of a 59 over the winter and would like to get some dyes that don`t have the anti fadeing like the newer stuff does if possible.

Re: Aniline dye ?

I'm not sure whether they are "old style", but I used these dyes on a refin recently & they're great! Good value.

Good luck

Guitar Dyes

This stuff fades

From this:

to this in around 4 hours in the sun:

Myself & ExNihilo (Scott) use these dyes. The alcohol version. I got the idea from Scott.

Tom Bartlett uses Mosers i believe.

Re: Aniline dye ?

Sorry, forgot link!

Though... if you're in the U.S, shipping with Lmii probably wont cost you 3x more than the value of the dyes!

Hope it works out, & good luck with the build, be sure to show us !
