My name is Bob, I'm soon to be 53 and I've been playing guitar on and off since I was 17. If I'd stuck with it on a regular basis, I'd be a lot better now than I am.
All my life I've wanted a genuine Les Paul, but being the poor boy that I am, I couldn't justify laying down the money for one and settled for cheap copies.... Until now.
A friend picked up a 2017 Les Paul 60's Tribute and I had an opportunity to play it a few days ago. I instantly fell in love with it. From that dirty, gravely tone that I've always associated with a Les Paul, to the slim taper, 60's style neck, It fit me from one end to the other and I had to have one. And at $899.00 I wouldn't have to sell my car to get it. Don't laugh, I've considered it more than once.
In my very humble opinion, It's a lot of guitar for the money. It may not have some of the frills and finish of other Les Pauls, but again, in my humble opinion, it sure plays and sounds sweet. And It's a LP
I ordered one in faded honey burst yesterday.
It's backordered of course, but I've waited all this time, another month or so won't kill me. Finally!!
I found your site this morning and from what I've seen so far, it looks like a great place. I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys and girls and I'm sure I'll learn a lot.
