Re: Check out my (switch) nuts! Whatcha think?

Quick question; on my historic if I remove the poker chip the toggle switch with the stock switch nut holding the switch is loose. Requiring me to have to have the poker chip installed. Does your...

Re: Gibson: No longer guitar company

Really? Nothing else better to do than to rag on someone for making a thread about this? Personally, I don't read every section or every thread on this forum. I wouldn't have heard about this if not...

What's up with having two accounts?
SD Pickups (http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/members/sd-pickups.html) & Dave Stephens (http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/members/dave-stephens.html) Is that even...

Re: School me on the Bassman

Some great reading and comparison here:
Silverface (Personally the 68-71 ones grab me, not a fan of master volume) - Silverface bassman (http://www.thevintagesound.com/ffg/bassman_sf.html)
Tweed -...

Re: PIO caps in 'bursts are a myth ?

Some relevant information(thanks for sharing), yet there are obviously other years of vintage les pauls with different caps and info about. Which you've learned about here.

Re: PIO caps in 'bursts are a myth ?

This road may have been long traveled, but even martin six string wasn't familiar with something that was brought up in this thread. Shows even though you've gone down the road many of times, there...

Re: PIO caps in 'bursts are a myth ?

There's something relevant and new discussed in each thread. Personally, I view that as a good thing. How many new guitar day threads do we need? I prefer substantial ones like this.

Re: 2013 R0 in the vintage 1959 Lifton case

Looks nice, hope you've got something vintage for the case. Sucks to separate them.

Re: Do Gibson Replicas Copy The Pickup/Polepieces Height of The Real Deal?

They would to be accurate, and to provide something to the customer no other guitar company does.

Of course the guitar they are copying is not going to be setup the same way it was when the album...

I seem to...

Re: Pricing on used GO or other historic these days?

Re: Pricing on used GO or other historic these days?

Why are used reissues going up in asking price? It's not like our economy has gotten better, people are losing jobs left and right. The classifieds here are riddled with selling to pay bills, laid...

Re: The Doors les Paul custom

Watched a concert of theirs from 1968 the other day from a VH1 DVD. Perhaps it was the same one. Didn't see him play it, but it was next to his amp. Was hoping the entire time he would pick it up....
