Re: Charlie Daniels Band - Birmingham Blues (live)

Saw Tommy and CDB around '90 in Honolulu where they tore it up, especially the Crain train, incredible burst tone and rock solid talent to spare. They were no doubt spurred on by The Outlaws who...

The Bobby Ingano Trio steels the studio and swings for it

While I wagged my debut Director's finger around from a cozy chair next to the camera last month, these legendary Hawaian island pro's were in the hot seat to knock out a straight run 45 min. shoot...

Re: Jimi's 64 Strat Sold Last Night

Janie pretty much disowned all the remaining members of the Hendrix family while having no blood relation, and there's always been an $$$ agenda towards disowning Jimi's brother.

''Leon and his...

Re: Jimi's 64 Strat Sold Last Night

This guitar having been heavily Leon-ized wouldn't be as valuable as one from Jimi's hands without being messed with, such as the Woodstock Strat, which went for a pittance in my mind even so long...

Re: Jimi: questions for Kathy Etchingham

Thanx for asking, X-Ray, I've been pretty busy. I'll be compiling various parts of the topic I've spread around to make a concise report for you and the few interested, but it was awesome for me, and...

Re: Jimi: questions for Kathy Etchingham

Like most of Jimi's guitars they probably no longer exist, as Kathy mentioned it wasn't in mint condition and looked funky, and Keith didn't have funky stuff at that point.

Re: Jimi: questions for Kathy Etchingham

Same guitar, and she doesn't think it belonged to her b-friend Keith Richards as long surmised. More to come.

Re: Jimi: questions for Kathy Etchingham

Been wondering that too. Pretty sure that would have been the Strat Linda Keith took from Keith Richards, but did it make it back to London in Jimi's hands? We'll know tonite!

Re: AC/DC - Rockin' The Blues Away...3rd single from Rock Or Bust...

What's with Stevie's Jet and the double-sided thumbnail markers @ 2:50? I've never seen that on a Jet. Look's cool, those are my favorite guitars.

Re: Jimi: questions for Kathy Etchingham

There won't be any tomorrow nite either, there's not much left to know other than the esoteric aspects that someone close to him can relate, and time often brings out things, so you never know. One...

Re: Jimi: questions for Kathy Etchingham

Jimi passed thru numerous hands on his way to death and it seems few did what was needed at the right time and too many set in motion a chain of events that lead to his passing.
I don't think she's...

Re: Jimi: questions for Kathy Etchingham

He cared about people, he wasn't into the race thing, that was shoved onto him and as usual he couldn't say no. If he had managed his success and personal biz better he'd probably still be here....

Re: spot the loony!

Exactly. But damn, I think Slade is still going! Why?

I've long ago come to love the VU, but being an LA guy we would have kicked their silly NY asses.
The Doors, forever and always.

Re: Jimi: questions for Kathy Etchingham

X-Ray;
* Was Jimi really ambidextrous beyond things like writing and playing guitar?
The left / right thing is something I'll be asking for sure.

* How much did Jimi identify with being an...

Re: Jimi: questions for Kathy Etchingham

Over the decades I've had a book full of questions, but I can't find the book now... Fortunately I've got more in my head than I'll probably be able to ask. Thanx for replying none the less!
