Re: Favorite Explorer players

Tricky Rickey is your cousin? Him and Rossington have been my favorite guitarists since I heard Blackfoot do "Hound Dog" and Strikes. Very cool man. I hope the talent runs in the family. That guy...

Re: I never knew such a Telecaster existed.

I don't like it. Back in my day, things were always the same, and we liked it. We had no choice. Horseless carriages and all... What's the world coming to?

In all honestly, I get it, but I...

Re: NGD Shiskov Ultimate

One of my all-time favorite guitars/tones is Blackfoot's sound from Strikes through Marauder. Along with the Norlin era Les Pauls and Explorers, Rick Medlocke relied heavily on the Hamer Explorers. ...

Re: Sticky fingers remastered

I'm a huge EC fan, especially that era, but I much more dig the original version of Brown Sugar. I think if they could have taken the original and allowed EC to put some single note slide stuff...

Re: Have Epiphones gotten a lot nicer lately?

I really have no skin in this game, other than being somewhat of a Gibson "loyalist". However, we bought my brother-in-law (wife's brother) an Epiphone EJ-200 SCE for his birthday last year because...

Re: They should know better!

Just do what I do. Never take it out of the house. Mine never leaves the house. Neither do I. Just my guitar and I. At home. Alone. So very alone...

Re: NG- Clapton Strat

I bought my first Strat almost a year ago. Like you, mine is a Clapton sig, though a 1996. It has the Lace Sensor Gold pups in it instead of the new Fender Noiseless. I absolutely love it.

Re: Some `13 R7 sounds

While the guitar/amp setup sounds good, Man, that is some really tasty playing. Great job. I could play the same notes a thousand times on as good equipment, but it wouldn't sound anywhere as...

Re: The rock & Roll Experience

I wish I had the talent to create art like that, or the original thought (as you have) to organize such artists.

Great job!

Re: How About Some Funnies

So, there's this little boy sitting on a park bench eating a chocolate bar. An old man sits down beside him.

Old Man: Sure looks like you are enjoying all that chocolate.

Boy: Yep, I eat 3...

Re: What will your next guitar be ?

I bought one of the EJ 200CE's for my brother-in-law's 50th birthday present. It is an amazing guitar! I have a Gibson J200 from the Bozeman shop and I swear, if I would have access to the...

My next will be a resonator, still haven't figured out which one yet or it would already be here...

After that, either an Epiphone Broadway (or Ibanez Artcore) or a '56 LP reissue (jonesing for...

For my brother in law's birthday, my wife and I decided to buy him a new acoustic. Actually she wanted to get him a really rocking vacuum cleaner, but I suggested a guitar in that price range. He's...
