BB like...

Feel free to ship those out...I'd be glad to see if they work. If they don't I'll properly dispose of them.

Good stuff, mang.

Re: You like real Pafs? Here some pics of some real ones..

I'd hate for Will to mix them up with my 6707 VTP Hots.

It'd be hard to tell them apart from his expertly aged covers...

Wilbur, you need to send those to me for verification. Even though they are clearly real, I need to play through them for about 5 years to make sure.

Re: You like real Pafs? Here some pics of some real ones..

I have one old PAF that I pulled out back in the early 70's (had two, but lost one, that's another story.

I have always used this as baseline to judge the paf clones against. I must say that the last time I put Antiquites / WB's in the guitar, I thought both sounded better.

Not that my old pickup sounded bad, it sounds great, just I found the newer pickups are more pleasing to my ears.

Re: You like real Pafs? Here some pics of some real ones..

I own 2 sets of PAF's. I have the 58 set uncovered (pictured) and a 60 set (searching my stash for them that I have at home, I have too much crap in boxes.), I also have quite a few 60's pre T's and T's. The covered ones are on loan and another set from the same owner are heading to the shop as we speak. The reason that these are sitting here on the bench is that I am working on something that I will talk about more in the next few weeks but will not include T-Tops in this project. Video footage with good clear audio as well will be included in this project.

Back to winding, as for those who have emailed me. I will sit down tonight and get back to all of you.

thanks,
Will

Oh here's some pictures of some real A5 mags from that era. Note, I am saying A5's not 4's? LOL!

Here's an original 58 A5 mag next to a new A5 one that I use with my pickups. Note the corrosion on the 58 that was facing up on the pickup. The bottom is still smooth as the pictures below shows.

Now here the same magnet flipped with my new A5. I need to take a better picture but they look really close and both charged to the same gauss sound pretty much the same.

Here's another picture with the real 58 mag and my new one on the right.

Some more original PAF mags I have. Guess the A2 mag in the picture?

I buy my mags from a US company & I charge them myself.
