Double white Habaņeros On The Way...

Talked To WB this after noon, and all I have to say is he is a hell of a person... We must have talked for close to an hour about many different subjects...The funny thing is you walk away with this weird feeling like you just met back up with an old friend...Im usually not sappy, but being self employed and running businesses, its nice to see someone so passionate about there craft. People usually don't realize the sacrifices they make, being family or friends and all of the stress's involved.. I guess what I'm saying is that I feel like I came away with a new life long Friend and I'm sure we will be doing more business in the future...With the passion he has for his art and customers I'm sure he will be around for a long time....OK ill shut now,now the long wait till next week for my new pickups...

Re: Double white Habaņeros On The Way...

So...you're the reason I kept getting sent to his voicemail...

Congrats, dude. Will's an awesome dude--you're right; it is like calling your buddy down the road to meet up for a beer.

I bought me a set of 6707 VTP Hots today...actually bought 2 sets; a buddy wanted one as well.

I should get mine next week as well. Coolio!

I think my Greens came via USPS.

If you have questions, call Will.

Oh--post a tone report on those!

Its funny I mentioned that to Will today, I usually never use my volume and tone controls, everything is always pegged on 10, but I'm starting to think I'm missing something, so I'm going to order an RS kit soon...

Re: Double white Habaņeros On The Way...

I talked to Will today as well. He stayed up all day after working all night winding. He told me with Laura losing her cousin and the funeral that it put him back a little on the shipping last week. I told him that if I get my pickups fast that I will think he put no love into them.

I ordered a Custom Tuned set and told him to make them perfect. No rush at all for me. Why push the artist at his job. The set that I ordered are a a cross between the Habaneros and the Firewaters.

Guess who I'm calling tomorrow?

Since I got my RS kits I tweak all the time now.

Thanks, man.

I think they're all pretty--just some's a bit better than others.

Yours are "some's" in my book.

Re: Double white Habaņeros On The Way...

Not sappy at all. I had the same feeling.

Looking for something to replace the Burstpukers in the R9 I just picked up. Tempted to take the covers off the BB customs that I ordered last week when they get here. Don't have that guitar in hand at the moment. 1990 Custom that needs a pleking-BAD.

Or, I could steal the firewaters out of the sc250 that I get back tomorrow...hmmm. Nah, that one should be about perfect the way it is.

So-who has an R9, what did you stick in it, and for what style music?

Re: Double white Habaņeros On The Way...

I have an '04 R9, and I put in the WB Greens. I had the guitar aged by RS to look like the Greenie burst, but I kept the color because I liked it.

The 6707 Greens are incredible; so good in fact, that I decided to replace the pickups in my R7 with the 6707 VTP Hots. II play blues/rock, but these p/ups sound great playing anything.

Had to sell my Nash Tele to do it, but worth it to me.

Here's my R9:

BTW, the right spelling is "habanero" NOT habaÑero. I love my "Ñ"s but this time it's not neccesary.

I hope I get my custom wound Habanero as I'm recording some guitars for the much awaited-for next album of a band named Jubilee ( MySpace.com - Jubilee - Andujar - Pop / Americana / Rock - www.myspace.com/jubileeparade ) .

Will is a great guy. I hope I can ring him soon te tell him about the sonic result of my new set of WBs!!

Well, I just bought two R9's and I'm sticking the 67-07 HOT VTPs in my Washed Cherry

And I'm either going to put the 67-07 VTPs or the 67-07 Greens in this one.

I've got RS Aged kits also ready to go into both! No matter which pups I put in the Lemonburst, I've still got to buy another R9 for the last set of WB pickups I ordered! Don't know when the FedEx truck is coming, but I'm assuming it'll be here soon. Hope I don't scare the driver off when I run full out at the truck!!!

Thank you Mark. It was tragic.

Will is trying to take the calls more and check on the customers as well. In a few we will be having some help with phones and emails. Well, back to school work. I am in class right now. LOL!
