Robertson pickups ( Markster)

I've been playing guitar for over 30 years, and in all that time, I have heard just about every manufacturer's pickups, and just never really been satisfied with any of them. Some were close, but most left me wanting more. A few years ago, I was privileged to get to play a real 1957 PAF'ed Goldtop, and was just blown away by the tone of the pickups - the tone was just golden, and unlike most pickups I had heard, the neck was clear and articulate, and not muddy at all. (However, not all PAF's had that magical tone.) I did a lot of research, examined the pickups extensively, and finally decided to try to wind some pickups that captured this tone. I was very pleased to find that the pickups I modeled after the original PAF's sounded very close to the originals. I've been refining the sound and design now for a couple of years, and I really think I have it nailed. Every pickup I wind these days is based on my original design, and I'm really happy with the way they sound. I'm happy now to announce that I have decided to wind 'for the public', so that I can share this awesome tone with the world. I hope you love them as much as I do! A big thank you goes out to Jeff Flegler for doing these reviews, and for the guys at the MLP forum for hosting them!

About Me
I started GUITARFORCE Custom Pickups because I love guitars and I have a passion for great tone. I've been a musician and have worked with guitar electronics for over 27 years. I decided to start making pickups years ago for myself to improve and develop my own individual sound because I wasn't satisfied with the stock pickups that came in the guitars that I purchased. And after making pickups for my friends (who gave me rave reviews and encouraged me to go into business selling my pickups), as well as receiving many compliments from strangers at gigs regarding my tone, I decided to sell them commercially.

I have spent hundreds of hours of research experimenting with different magnet grades, magnet wire size and insulation types, steel alloys for the various internal components, and learned how they all interact with one another to affect tone. I have also learned how to manipulate these components to achieve the tone that I seek. From this knowledge, I have designed a series of pickups that I believe generate some of the best tone on the market today. I personally handcraft each pickup one at a time in order to ensure the highest level of quality. I also fabricate and source the finest components available to construct my pickups. I am dedicated to providing artists with the best possible product and ensuring their complete satisfaction.

If you are not satisfied with the tone of your current pickups or if you have not yet found the tone you seek from other pickupmaker's products, try a set of mine. You will be glad that you did.

I received another set of Pickups from Rod today. These are his A-5 magnet set. Sorry for the squeals. Like I said before, the amp setting stay the same throughout the Pickup review.
